Scholars are invited to submit abstracts (for paper presentations) or short proposals (for academic poster presentations) for the 3rd International Indonesian Forum for Asian Studies (IIFAS) conference entitled Borderless Communities and Nations with Borders: Challenges of Globalisation.

The International Indonesian Forum for Asian Studies (IIFAS) has organised this conference in collaboration with Centre for Southeast Asian Social Studies (CESASS) at Gadjah Mada University (Universitas Gadjah Mada, UGM) and the Department of International Relations at the Islamic University of Indonesia (Universitas Islam Indonesia, UII) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Location of Conference:
The IIFAS conference 2017 will be held at two prominent locations. The Gadjah Mada University Club at the main campus of UGM and facilities at UII. Transportation will be provided for transfers.

This conference is an interdisciplinary event drawing together; Social and Cultural Studies, Psychology, Anthropology, Economics, International Relations, Education, Religious, Politics & Cross-Cultural Studies, Public Administration, Peace and Health Studies, Agriculture and Food Security. It will therefore also give importance to defence studies; radicalisation and counter-radicalisation, regional security policy, democratisation and conflict resolution as well as the politics of identity and related sub-themes. We invite international and national scholars, civil society organisations (CSO’s), government and non-government organisations (GO & NGO’s), students, professionals, corporate identities and members of the public to share in the related regional and international discussions.

Procedure for Submitting Applications:
Delegates wishing to present their paper or poster presentations are invited to submit a one page abstract combined with a short CV (MS word format) to firstname.lastname@example.org. All paper abstracts and poster proposals are required to be submitted in English, likewise all presentations are in English.
Confirmation of Speaking Slot/Poster Presentation:
The IIFAS will endeavour to confirm acceptance of submissions within 7 days by email to enable delegates to arrange their travel arrangements.
The joint university committee has advised IIFAS that conference guests, presenters, speakers and absentee presenters are subject to a low registration fee. Shortly details will be announced at a link of our partner’s university: pssat.ugm.ac.id and ir.uii.ac.id.
Your registration contribution or generously provided financial gifts will allow IIFAS to provide a number of scholarships to challenged delegates to join this conference.
