Most students pick a major with a two-line course description and a guess. We give you something better: nine real classes, taught by real IUP UGM lecturers, across the fields you're actually deciding between.

• 90–120 minute sessions — short lectures, real case studies, and hands-on activities designed for high schoolers, not university freshmen
• 9 departments from 9 faculties — Social and Political Sciences, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Business & Economics, Law, Veterinary Medicines, Psychology, Engineering, Mathematics & Natural Sciences
• Taught by IUP lecturers — the same lecturers teaching UGM's English-medium international undergraduate tracks

You won't just hear about these programs. You'll sit in the room.

Choose Your Program

Package A excludes return airfare to/from Yogyakarta. Package B excludes departure ticket from your home city to Yogyakarta and from Singapore to your home city.

What a 6 days and 12 days program looks like

• Day 1 — Arrive in Yogyakarta, welcome dinner, meet your cohort
• Days 2–6 — Two classes a day, rotating through IUP faculties, closing ceremony
• Day 7 — Free day (Package B) or back home (Package A)
• Days 8–11 — Fly to Kuala Lumpur and visit Singapore
• Day 12 — Fly home directly from Singapore — no backtracking to Indonesia

Who can join this program?

High school students (any grade) from any ASEAN country. No specific major or academic focus required — this program is designed especially for students who haven't decided yet.

What's the difference between Package A and Package B?

Package A (6 days) covers the academic program in Yogyakarta only. Package B (12 days) adds the cross countries visit to 5 top universities in Singapore and Malaysia. See the full comparison in [Section 2: Two ways to join].

Do I need to already know what I want to study?

No. The program is built for students exploring their options — you'll sample real classes across 9 IUP faculties before committing to anything.

Is the program conducted in English?

Yes. All classes are taught in English, in line with UGM's IUP (International Undergraduate Program) format. BUT you do not need TOEFL/IELTS to join this program.

What's included in the price, and what isn't?

Both packages include classes, accommodation, meals, a certificate, local transport needed for the program, pick up and transfer service from airport/train station (ONLY by request), and ONE WAY airfare ticket from YIA to KUL for Package B. Round-trip airfare to/from Yogyakarta (Package A) and the departure ticket from Singapore (Package B) are not included — see exact inclusions/exclusions in Section 2.

How are students supervised during the program?

1 CESASS liaison officer per 15 students plus a faculty member at all times, with roll call at every location change. Full details in [Section 5: For parents: safety & logistics).

What documents do I need to register?

A valid passport (7+ months remaining), parental consent form (can be downloaded here), school permission letter (can be downloaded here), medical certificate from local doctor/clinics (any form), and (for Package B) a return ticket from Singapore that can be submitted after you discuss the travel plan with our team member.

What if my child has a medical condition or dietary restriction?

These are collected during registration so our field team can plan accordingly — reach out to our team directly if you have specific concerns before registering. 

When does registration close?

5 October 2026, or earlier if seats fill first — only 50 spots are available program-wide, and 30 is allocated for Package B.
