Study of Planning and Mapping of Digital Ecosystem Solution Needs in Tojo Una-Una Regency is a collaborative activity organized by CESASS UGM in collaboration with the Government of Tojo Una-Una Regency and BAKTI Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. CESASS UGM research team consists of Prof. Dr. Rini Rachmawati, S.Si., M.T. as Chief Researcher and Head of the Center for Southeast Asian Social Studies (CESASS) UGM, Amandita ‘Ainur Rohmah, S.Si., M.Sc., Azis Musthofa, S.Si., and Siti Amaroh, S.E. as Research Assistant. Phase II data collection activities were carried out on 23-28 September 2023.
The FGD activity was held on Monday, September 25 2023 at the Lawaka Hotel, Ampana Kota, Tojo Una-Una Regency was attended by stakeholder representatives from 5 sectors, such as digital governance, economic empowerment (Village Village and MSMEs), Sustainable and Environmentally Minded Tourism, Strengthening the Role of Women in the Digital Sector, and Digital Literacy. The FGD activity was opened by Assistant II for Economy and Development of the Regional Secretary of Tojo Una-Una Regency and Acting of Head of the Communications and Information Service of Tojo Una Una Regency. Apart from carrying out FGD activities, the UGM and BAKTI Research Team also carried out field observation activities on Batudaka Island (BTS, AI, and tourism potential), as well as in-depth interviews regarding the use of internet access for the MSME craft sector.
Furthermore, CESASS UGM Team and BAKTI Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia also held an audience with the Regent and Regional Secretary of Tojo Una Una Regency. The audience activities included the presentation of activities and interim findings from the Study of Planning and Mapping of Digital Ecosystem Solution Needs in Tojo Una-Una Regency in five sectors. The study activity received appreciation from the government because it was felt to be very necessary for the Tojo Una-Una Regency as a 3T area supports the provision of internet network infrastructure to support the digital ecosystem.
Phase II data collection activities are focused on confirming the development of policies needed in the Tojo Una-Una Regency, especially from the government sphere, supports Digital Governance in addition to digital literacy, economic empowerment, sustainable tourism and strengthening the role of women in the digital sector. Through this study, it is hoped that the needs or development plans needed to create digital ecosystem solutions that are efficient, safe and oriented towards user needs can be analyzed. The discussion material for Phase II includes the topics of policy development plans, design of required innovation programs, as well as the role/involvement of alliances in each sector.
