Yogyakarta, December 12, 2025 — Center for Southeast Asian Social Studies, Universitas Gadjah Mada (CESASS UGM) hosted a strategic visit and discussion with Pusat Riset Sistem Peradilan Pidana, Universitas Brawijaya (PERSADA UB). The visit was undertaken as an institutional learning initiative supporting PERSADA UB’s formulation of strategies toward Pusat Unggulan Iptek Perguruan Tinggi (PUI-PT) or Center of Excellence (CoE) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology framework.
PERSADA UB delegation was led by Dr. Fachrizal Afandi, S.Psi., S.H., M.H., Ph.D. as Chair, accompanied by Ladito Risang Bagaskoro, S.H., M.H. as Secretary, Prof. Dr. Nurini Aprilianda, S.H., M.Hum. as Advisory Board, and the researchers. CESASS UGM was represented by Dr. phil. Vissia Ita Yulianto as Head of Program and Publication, and Gilang Desti Parahita, S.I.P., M.A. as Partner Researcher, along with the Research and Partnership staff.
The visit began with a presentation by Dr. Ita, who shared CESASS UGM’s experience in managing its organizational structure, research funding mechanisms, strategies for developing national and international research networks, and interdisciplinary collaboration programs. This was followed by a joint sharing session between PERSADA UB and CESASS UGM, focusing on the management of research centers.
Through this exchange, both centers engaged in the mutual sharing of experiences, thereby reinforcing institutional partnerships and paving the way for future collaboration.
