Knowledge of all sort should not only be passed from universities to the public, but should too be shared between universities as so to learn from one another in order to enhance the capacity and capability as an institution. As the only leading center of excellence (Pusat Unggulan Ipteks Perguruan Tinggi – PUI-PT) in the aspect of social sciences, Centre of Southeast Asian Social Studies (CESASS) Universitas Gadjah Mada received a visit from a representative of Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Mr. Arda Purnama Putra, M. Pd. The purpose of his visit to CESASS UGM is to study the management of PUI-PT.
The visit took place from the 20th-24th November 2017 at CESASS UGM office. Within the meeting Mr. Arda met a few of the CESASS UGM staffs which facilitated the materials of the PUI-PT, includes; Andi Awaluddin Fitrah, M.A. which gave a general overview of the materials around CESASS and PUI-PT, Prasidayani Nurita, M. Kes about the secretariat and finance, Meike Lusye Karolus, M. A. and Varrel Vendira regarding the website and publication, with Annisa Khasanah, S. I.P about the management of the library. According to Mr. Arda whom in his daily activity is a lecture at the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Malang, learnt about the management to prepare the establishment of a Centre of Education which is hoped to able to be PUI-PT later.
