The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for journal collaboration between the organizing committee of the Conference on Media, Communication, and Sociology (COMICOS) 2026, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University, and IKAT: The Indonesian Journal of Southeast Asian Studies took place on July 18, 2025, at the Center for Southeast Asian Social Studies (CESASS), Universitas Gadjah Mada.

This agreement marks a joint commitment to academic publication, where selected conference papers from COMICOS 2026 will be reviewed and published by IKAT: The Indonesian Journal of Southeast Asian Studies.
